American Shipping and Chartering
was established in 1980 as a Houston, Texas steamship agency to supplement
the chartering and logistics services offered by their Principals.
Experience, reliability and extensive knowledge of port and stevedoring
operations in all major U.S., Canadian as well as Mexican ports made our
agency department the preferred choice of many ship owners and operators, in
the capacity of both Local and General Agents.
In addition to normal ship
husbanding services, we have excellent relations with stevedores, Port and
Government Authorities, Terminal Operators and a host of other vendors. This
enables us to offer our Principals and clients not only first class service
and quickest possible turnaround times, but also to obtain the most
economical services available.
American Shipping and Chartering
handles about 150 vessel port calls annually, each of which is attended to
with utmost care and the unique personal attention our Principals and their
crews deserve.
